15 Mar Why We Started The Tribe Collective
It all started with an unlikely friendship with someone who liked my perspective on a post I made. And now it’s turned into a blossoming friendship and a tribe to call our own. This transformation from strangers to almost family is what inspired us to start The Tribe, and yet, there were so many other logical motivators that we saw as a need for so many people. Let’s talk about how The Tribe was born and what we hope it to be for those who connect with us.
A Place For The Alone To Belong
Anyone who is intelligent, intuitive, weird, or different knows a thing or two about feeling alone. Loneliness might feel like that long lost friend that won’t leave when you kick them out after a drunken night. The problem is that most of the world is built for the masses, “normal people”, the average. It often neglects the outcasts and outliers. There simply isn’t a lot of places for these people to be themselves, thrive, and belong.
Enter our own weirdness. As a tribe, I can absolutely say we are different. So many different perspectives, talents, interests, and goals and yet we are all brought together by our different view of the world. We embrace our being different and let our uniqueness become a strength that strengthens our bonds with each other.
Like Minds Lead To Like Values
One interesting thing I’ve noticed, is that a lot of us seemingly different tribe members actually share similar values. Of course values like compassion, generosity, not hurting others, and wanting to help others—but also a set of values that guide our daily lives on an objective level. Values influenced by our experiences in being different than everyone else.
Our Manifesto was created based on some of these shared values in addition to some general guides to growth and long proven wisdom. It is rooted in a way to live that leads to contentment and a foundation that fosters connection with each other. I give you a challenge, read our Manifesto here and if you find that we share a lot of the same values, then you may have found a home to belong.
We Need Each Other
The bottom line that some of us (hello introverts) may not want to face is that humans are social animals. We need each other to be emotionally fulfilled and even on a logical practical level when trying to accomplish goals. It is through our connection that we establish an opportunity to grow, gain wisdom, share our unique perspectives, and have a place where everyone accepts you for you. We see your gifts as gifts and want to encourage you to develop them so you can share them with the others.
The Tribe is for those who have been looking for a home and haven’t found one. A place for what many have been missing from society—real community and family. Join us on our journey through evolution, belonging, and discovering that you matter, especially to us.
The Tribe is a collective of individuals committed to growth, wisdom, and connection with other like minds. We don’t follow trends—we live by truth, self improvement, and action.
